The Worst Map in Rainbow Six Siege 

    There are many different maps in rainbow six siege, all ranging from different locations across the globe which truly makes it a great experience. However with so many maps in the game there are bound to be some very good ones, and some very bad ones. I recently covered the very good ones in a previous article.     However today we will be covering the not so good maps. The one that drive players insane. There are a few of these maps for me. And with the recent introduction of map banning it has greatly improved the game because players are no longer forced to play on such bad maps. So at last lets get into the worst maps in the game and at the end we will reach a verdict for which one is the worst. 

Chalet 

    Chalet was one of the maps that was shipped with the game and was included in its release. It takes place on a chalet property in the mountains and have players either attacking or defending its many sites. The original map was so bad that it caused the developers to devote an entire season to revamping the map. However the developers did not do anything, They did not make it ranked worthy, rather it is still the messy unfun map it always was. The only thing the developers had added during that season was a window above the garage site in basement. 

    Chalet, is unfun, it always has been and it always will be. Instead of forcing it into ranked map rotations it should be removed from both casual and ranked. Some players may disagree with me on this choice but It is mine and I stand by it because Chalet is horrible. 

Consulate

    Consulate, similar to chalet, bank, and club house is another map that was originally included with the games release. However it has a fancy story behind it because it is based off of an actual counter terrorism effort that is known throughout history. 

    The map consulate is actually based off of the Iranian embassy siege that occured in Great Britain. Where the SAS were deployed during a hostage crisis. The operation was named Operation Nimrod. Although the real life operation Nimrod was very well done, the map design of consulate was not. 

    The map is a narrow, claustrophobic mess of a design. The map consists of two long hallways with some rooms attached to them. The map is so small and so many corners it is so easy to defend and almost impossible to attack. The top floor site is almost always a defender sided win as there are so many places to hide and very little places for the attackers to enter without being exposed to at least one line of sight. 

 Theme Park

    For all of the maps in the game, the origional theme park would definetly take the cake for being the worst map in the game. With the old train rooms you were limited to one side of the map and were not able to cross to the other site without being caught in a defenders line of sight. 

    however the new map has faults of its own. There is one site that can practically become a guaranteed win for defenders if they are able to do it correctly. All it takes is a thatcher ban and a few people covering walls and the room becomes almost impenetrable. 

    The site is basically two rooms designed as one. There are only two points of entry for the entire objective. If the attackers cannot get one of the walls open, then they are forced to go through one of the two doors. And as a defender this makes your job very easy. Just watch those doors and hold fire if someone happens to walk through.

    Theme park is a messy design and whoever designed themepark, and further more whoever green lit the armory throne room as a site should be fired. It is a disaster of a map and should be taken out of rotation and should be replaced by the likes of fortress or herford base. 

Verdict 

    Although all of the maps that I have mentioned are horrendous, I think it is obvious by my hate filled description of one of these maps that chalet takes the cake for being the down right worst map in the game. From its poor design, the endless amount of angles, and the downright horrible site design, chalet is most infidelity the worst map in the entire game and I stand by that.
