Ritual Skull - Sea of Thieves
The ritual skull
There are so many differet factions, and each faction type, has their own respective loot type, for example order of the souls has skulls as their treasure, and gold hoarders obviously have gold as their treasure. However with so many treasure types it can get quite confusing what is what, especially when the treasure has nothing to do with any trading companies. This is the case with the items inside ashen chests. Now you might be wondering what are ashen chests?
Ashen chests
Think of ashen chests as the loot type for the bilge rat faction. Which I am not sure qualifies as an offical faction but that is what we are going to go with. Now ashen chests look like regular treasure chests but if they were burnt and have fire on it. They look like this
Now inside of these ashen chests you will find a couple of items. Most of it will be these book items. These books when turned in to the bilge rats unlocks the ability to buy cosmetics that correlate with that book. All of the items are ashen themed or fire themed. The other type of reward you will find are doubloon pouches which are similar to gold pouches but obviously instead of giving you gold it gives you doubloons hense the name. However there is one more type of reward you can earn. The Ritual skull.
The ritual skull
The ritual skull is one of the rewards that you can find in ashen chests and looks like a skull that would be given to order of the souls. However it has red paint on it and cannot be turned in to order of the souls, only the bilge rats. But I do not reccomend you do that. Here is what a ritual skull looks like in case you do not know.
Use of ritual skull
It can be used in two ways. It can be turned in for doubloons. Or it can be used to activate the fort of the damned. If you place it on top of the skeleton inside the arena alongside the six flames of fate, you can start the only player activated world event in the game.
However if you do not have one there is another way to obtain a ritual skull. You can simply purchase a voyage for one with the bilge rats. However be warned because you can only buy one once a month. Other than that you have to find them. You can also find ritual skulls in sunken skeleton ships, in fort vaults etc.
