This is What the Exhaustion Status Efffect Does in Dead by Daylight 

    Status effects can be very confusing in Dead by Daylight especially because there are so many of them and there are so many different causes. However the one status effect that we will be covering today is the exhaustion status effect. This is one only survivors will face. 

Who will get the exhuastion status effect?

    Only the survivors in the trial are capable of getting the exhaustion status effect, killers are not capable of getting it. However they are capable of giving the exhausted status effect using certain perks. Such as one perk that causes you to be exhausted after getting off a generator. 

What Does Exhaustion do?

    There are no other side effects, you are still able to carry out your tasks as normal but if you have an exhaustion perk in your load out it will not activate while you are exhausted even if the conditions are met.

How do you become exhausted? 

    You can become exhausted in a variety of different ways. Such as one of the tricksters perks. 

How do you get rid of Exhaustion?

    There are two ways of getting rid of exhaustion. The first is to wait it out, and wait for the timer to decrease and finish. However this is tricky because the timer will only decrease when you are not sprinting. So you will only be able to use exhaustion perks once in a chase before having to let it recharge. 

    The other way to get rid of exhaustion, although not preferable, is by being hooked. Once you are taken off the hook your exhaustion status effect automatically goes away and you are able to use any exhaustion perk as long as its conditions are met
