What is prestige in Dead by Daylight? 

    Dead by daylight is a very complex and intricate game. There are many layers to dead by daylight including perks, add ons and items. However the game can get quite complicated with all the mechanics and features. One of the areas is the blood web and the progression system. It has multiple layers to it. At the end of the blood web there is something called prestige. Today we will discuss how the prestige system works, the rewards you get along the way, how difficult it is to get there. 

What is prestige?

    Once you get to level 50 on the blood web which is located on the left hand side of your screen, a black circle with a skull on it will appear at the dead center of your blood web. If you hold down this button as if you were going to buy it. When you do the option would come up to give you the chance to prestige. It is free and does not cost any blood points. When you hold it down and press ok you will be prestieged. 

    When you are prestige all of your perks reset. This means that the load out you had on that survivor is no longer there. This also applies to any items or add ons that you have on that survivor. Prestiging does not impact your other survivors or killers and it will only remove the add ons and items as well as perks from that character. 

What do you get?

    What do you get when you prestige your character? Well firstly you will gain a skull to your name that will appear above your username. This skull will also display in public lobbies meaning everyone in the group will be able to see that you are prestige. On top  this skull, you also get blood soaked clothes cosmetics that are applied to your character. This gives an in game cosmetic reward for sinking that many blood points into the blood web. 

    The cool part of hitting prestiege is it gives an end game goal for players to go after. When you have obtained all the perks you want in your load out there is not much else to strive for in the game. With prestige you always have a goal to keep in mind and motivation to continue playing. 

Prestige 1, 2, and 3 

    Another cool aspect to prestige is the fact that it comes in three levels and you get different rewards for each level. The first level is prestige one, you get blood soaked shirt as well as the prestige one symbol below your name. All your perks and add ons are reset and if you get all the way back up to level 50 again it gives you the option to prestige yet again. This will bring you to prestige 2. And will unlock and give you the blood soaked pants for whatever character reached this feat.  

    After you reach prestige 2 and yet again you have come up with enough blood points in order to prestige your character to level three, you will have an option to prestige again and this time it will be the final time. Once you hit prestige level three you will be given blood soaked face. And now you have the whole outfit, Blood soaked face, shirt, and pants.
